Sierra County Victims Assistance Unit

Trained advocate provide 24/7 Crisis Intervention for victims of crime.The advocates with the SCVAU work for the victim. Advocates can be a go-between for the victim and Law Enforcement. We can also provide community resources that will allow victims to become SURVIVORS. If necessary an advocate will accompany victims to court for moral support.

The Children's Advocacy Center has an identified location within the SCVAU, that is a separate, child-focused setting designed to provide a safe, comfortable and neutral place where forensic interviews can be conducted and other services can be provided for children and families.
