To provide health care benefits for medically-indigent children and adults i.e., individuals who have no private insurance and whose income is not sufficient to cover the cost of medical care but who are not eligible for Medi-Care/Medicaid. County Indigent Program assists qualified indigent residents of Sierra County with paying hospital and/or ambulance related bills. This agency is responsible for assisting county indigent residents with financial assistance for their health care.
