The Southeast Albuquerque Success Center (SEASC), a nonprofit corporation, we solve for training in highly skilled trades, self -development, and entrepreneurship for underserved, economically disadvantaged residents living in the community. We do this by providing workforce development programs to build the education, skills, and experience needed by local technology firms and the service industry.
SEASC founded by Walter Fayne, owner Active Computer Solutions, a local Information Technology firm that currently provides certification training for several technology companies. SEASC completes its mission through partnerships with New Day (NDNM); NMCAN; Lutheran Family Services; Making Connections International District (MCID) which includes Men of Color Initiative (MOCI), Together for Brothers (T4B), New Mexico Asian Family Center (NMAFC), Native American Community Academy (NACA), and Father’s New Mexico; and Roanhorse Consulting. This collaboration provides residents centralize admission processing and mentoring.
Curriculum includes five career paths: Customer Service (CSS); Electronic Technician (CET); Information Technology (IT); Gaming/Vending Electronics (GVT); and Biomedical Electronics (BMD). Classes will convene for 12 month period beginning annually in October.
SEASC will create a continuous pool of newly certified labor from a demographic previously deemed uneducated and under skilled. Therefore, the return on investment is twofold being sociological and economical.
Our aim is to promote professional opportunity and advantage for qualified individuals in Southeast Albuquerque by providing technologic skill education, training and life skills mentorship thereby breaking generational poverty.
