How do we engage students in all levels of math activities in a social, cooperative and lively atmosphere?
Julia Robinson Mathematics Festivals (JRMF) and Making Friends with the “M” in STEM programs
JRMF offers 6th - 8th grade students thought-provoking mathematics in a social and cooperative atmosphere with problem sets, games, and puzzles with mathematical themes. STEM Santa Fe holds multiple festivals per year, including an annual festival at Santa Fe Community College, as well as Northern New Mexico College and Santa Fe Indian School. Other math programs are being piloted also.
STEM Santa Fe advocates for, develops and provides STEM programming, mentoring and resources for all youth, especially underrepresented groups in STEM, to realize their potential and expand their opportunities in a dynamic world.
