StormHold will be a permanent venue zoned for commercial and residential use in Santa Fe, NM sized about 4000 sf. that will welcome a diverse and intimate group of up to 40 people to gather in its refuge and share vital experiences, stories, art, dance, and music as an expression of activism, culture, and social intellect. The events will take place in a thoughtfully planned and comfortable Great Room curated with visual art and living plants and scheduled at least twice monthly. Gary will also host weekly 2 hour vinyl record listening parties for up to 20 people at a time, sharing the mindful experience of listening to a whole album, enhanced by enlightening commentary.
A radio studio is planned to hold production equipment for Gary’s radio show, Oil of Dog, which is prerecorded and heard by a global audience of thousands. He will also host interviews with StormHold guests there, and it will hold his collection of 30,000 vinyl records.
Part of the venue will house my art studio, retail gallery, and three rooms for performers and guests. A private living space is planned for Linda and Gary in StormHold to allow transitions between activities to flow smoothly with no travel time involved.
Reasonable fees will be charged for events so the artists receive payment. Our goal is for StormHold to be self-sustaining by also offering art retreats, art classes and a retail gallery will be open to the public.
StormHold’s purpose is to nurture creativity and appreciation in an intimate, inspiring, aesthetic haven where audience, performers, and artists intermingle and share cultural and social experiences by way of performances, exhibitions, art retreats, record listening parties, and global radio broadcasts.
