Since 1988, TTYL has delivered a variety of successful environmental, wildlife, and leadership education programs in central New Mexico, Our current focus is engaging youth from 5th grade-high school in our after-school Climate Leadership Project. Youth study the impacts of climate change and create projects to encourage collective climate action.
TTYL's middle school Junior Youth Conservation Corps program develops job and conservation skills. TTYL's young adult Youth Conservation Corps program provides paid positions with on-the-job conservation, restoration, and life skills development.
TTYL operates a non-profit community Thrift Store which provides low-cost goods, local jobs, and supports our sustainability values by recycling donations from our generous community.
Talking Talons Youth Leadership (TTYL) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) youth development organization that was founded in 1988. TTYL’s mission is to elevate youth and the community to become effective advocates and ethical stewards of themselves, wildlife, habitat, and the environment with a vision of healing the planet by transforming generations of leaders through nature. TTYL’s motto: “Inspiring tomorrow’s environmental leaders, today.”
