Our community programs are currently closed to the public. We are hosting used bike sales and repairs at 914 N. Pope St. Call Dave at 575-590-1468 for information.
We operate a Community Workshop with tools and workstations for public use, guided by expert mechanics. Our Earn-A-Bike Program is an opportunity for volunteer labor to be exchanged for a bike and the knowledge to repair it. We host a weekly bike ride and after school programs focused on safety. We also run a ReCycled Bike Art program where old bikes and parts are upcycled into art and utilitarian objects. Our goal is to make bicycles more accessible for transportation and recreation.
The Bike Works is a community-supported nonprofit that promotes creative and active lifestyles, self-reliance and sustainability in southwest New Mexico.
