United Way of Central New Mexico - AFL-CIO Community Services Program

AFL-CIO Community Services Program projects include: NALC Food Drive - the largest food drive in the country; DADS Day (Dollars Against Diabetes) - a one-day event where volunteers from building trades unions stand on street corners and solicit donations; Heat's On - volunteers service furnaces, light pilots and winterize air conditioners for low-income senior citizens and disabled individuals; Dial A Teacher - provides students an opportunity to receive assistance with their via phone.
