CTL offers a variety of programs to assist students throughout their college careers. From Math Connection (MC) to help with college readiness, to the Center for Academic Program Support (CAPS) to aid with undergraduate courses and the Graduate Resource Center (GRC) to support upper-division and graduate students, all students can find assistance at CTL.
CTL provides faculty support through structures such as the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) that offer instructors consultations, workshops on teaching techniques, grants and awards to support teaching innovation, a Teaching Fellows program, and faculty communities of practice. Our services are open to all UNM instructors: tenured, untenured, full-time, part-time, and graduate teaching assistants.
The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is dedicated to fostering undergraduate learning by offering services to both students and instructors with the common goal of increasing student academic success.
CTL engages and empowers undergraduate student learners through a variety of programs designed to increase students’ success in specific courses and foster skills for life-long learning. In addition, the CTL regards student employees as active agents in the decision making process and strives to make employment at the center an opportunity for their professional development and success.
The Center participates in and contributes to the national conversation about how students learn. Using current research the CTL designs programs through which UNM’s diverse student body can succeed academically and achieve their professional goals.
