College Readiness Program

The College Readiness Program (CRP) serves Albuquerque/Surrounding Area Students. Students apply in the spring semester of their sophomore year. Our goal is to provide students with the skills and knowledge to successfully navigate through the college entrance process and prepare for their first year of college. 

CRP consists of three components:

  • Summer Residential Camp (June)
    • Campus Life - Students stay overnight in the UNM Santa Clara dorms and learn more about the student life on campus. 
    • Leadership & Team Building - Students participate in leadership & team building activities. 
    • UNM Academic Programs - Students tour and meet with the different university colleges. 
    • UNM Student Support Programs - Students learn more about the support services on campus and ways they can be involved with campus life. 
  • Saturday Sessions (August-April) 
    • ACT Prep - Participants will complete the ACT Mastery Prep Program. 
    • College & Career Readiness Topics include, college & scholarship application process, choosing a major/career, developing career readiness skills, financial literacy...
    • Philanthropy - Students will work on various volunteer projects as a group. 
    • Mentorship/Tutoring - Educational Mentor Tutors (EMT) will work with students throughout the year. EMT's are college age students from UNM.
