EOC offers the following services: assistance in submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); help with the admissions application and enrollment process to the college of the participants’ choice; assistance in searching for additional scholarships and its application process; guidance on the college transferring process; general academic advisement; general financial literacy information; GED educational referrals and resources; and financial aid and college admissions workshops. EOC services are FREE and provided on a one-on-one basis or in workshop sessions.
The UNM Educational Opportunity Center (EOC), a U.S. Department of Education funded TRIO program, is an educational outreach program that offers educational services to students who want to enter or continue postsecondary education. EOC supports a variety of potential college student groups including: high school seniors who are transitioning into college; individuals without a high school education interested in obtaining a GED diploma as the first step to prepare for college enrollment; and individuals who either want to enroll for the first time or re-enroll in college.
