UNM Milagro Clinic

Offers comprehensive assessment and treatment for pregnant women with alcohol and/or substance abuse and addiction issues with emphasis on prenatal care and substance abuse treatment. The Milagro program provides medical services, counseling and case management support, as well as a team approach to overall well-being. Our medical, nursing and counseling providers work together to help expecting mothers and their families before and after the baby is born. Medication-assisted treatments (MAT) such as Buprenorphine (Suboxone) or methadone are available to women with opiate or heroin addictions. Women who take part in the program receive prenatal care in the UNM Family Medicine clinics.
