WFL works with stakeholders to reach families in need and teach family stability by addressing safety, well-being, accountability, employment, financial literacy, parenting and issues unique to incarceration.
WFL builds relationships with families, probationers and returning citizens through discussion, mentoring, empowerment and support to:
• Teach life skills and address unique needs of clients.
• Strengthen families by helping members acquire Search Institute's Developmental Assets©.
Stakeholders include CYFD, Juvenile Probation/Parole, VC Juvenile Justice Board, Los Lunas Police, VC Community Action Network, VC Wellness Council, VC DWI Program, Meadow Lake Kids Club, Men's Recovery Academy, NMDOC, local schools, the courts, law enforcement and treatment agencies, among others.
Wings For L.I.F.E. - Life-skills Imparted to Families through Education (WFL), is a national and state Best Practice model whose mission is TRANSFORMING LIVES TO BREAK THE GENERATIONAL CYCLE OF INCARCERATION.
