The Algorythmics

Developed by experts in STEM education and children’s entertainment, The Algorythmics is an innovative education program that introduces, engages and excites K-5 students, especially girls and minorities, about learning and excelling in STEM. Through the mathematical magic of music, The Algorythmics is a techno-rock band that performs original songs about Arithmetic, Biology, Chemistry, Coding, Computer Science, Engineering, Equations, Geology, Geometry, Logic, Mechanics, Physics, Robotics and the Scientific Method.

Part Devo, part The Eurythmics, part Schoolhouse Rock (and part Einstein), The Algorythmics tours and performs live interactive school asSTEMblies for the entire K-5 student body. Featuring Emcee Squared on the mic with DJ  Loop mixing the grooves, Funktion jamming on the bass and Hyperbolic banging the drum machine, this culturally diverse band gets kids pumped about problem solving and introduces them to amazing STEM careers that are within their reach. Throughout the multi-media concert, The Algorythmics also lead high-octane activities that demonstrate educational lessons and STEM concepts in a kinesthetic way. After the show, teachers receive a standards-based, interdisciplinary curriculum and staff development training that reinforce and build on what was learned. A pre and post evaluation is included in the delivery model.
