A therapeutic program for women based in 12 step principles, using horses as our guides, teachers and healers.
Heartfelt medicine for any woman wanting to discover a deeper sensitivity, strength and trust in themselves and in life. All our work is done on the ground there is no riding in this program. We do individual as well as group sessions. Until COVID restrictions are lifted groups are kept to 5 people total. Masks and social distancing is strictly observed.
We facilitate, promote and expand the miracle of horses healing humans.
A Chance of a Lifetime is a New Mexico 501(c)3 not for profit located in Santa Fe County with a focus on the horse/human relationship and its potential for healing. Our goals stretch far beyond rescuing and adopting out horses. We give safe haven to horses that have been brutalized and/or starved and usually suffer from PTSD. Some horses can overcome their past and be trained then adopted out. Others are provided a forever home. An essential part of our program is facilitating ways for these horses to interact and work with people who are likewise challenged in their personal lives. All who come here get the chance to transform, and to heal, a chance to let go of our stories and a chance to become a valuable part of the herd. We get another chance at life.
