The APS District Attendance Office supports school staff in preventing truancy. Conducts the Advanced Attendance Assistance Program in collaboration with community agencies to address truancy. Meets with parents of students exhibiting inappropiate attendance and behavior in an attempt to discover the underlying causes of truancy. Refers parents to appropriate resources within the schools Health or in their local community.
