Just and Fair Initiative

“Pushout” is a misdiagnosed epidemic on the Navajo Nation. Pushout occurs when a student leaves his/her school before graduation, through the encouragement of the school staff or school policies. Through its relationship with the Bureau of Indian Education, we will soon be providing pushout awareness training to administrators and teachers at all 123 Nation schools. Capacity Builders Inc. will further assist the schools to incorporate policy and best practices that prevent pushout into their school improvement plans as this ultimately benefits youth academic and post-secondary outcomes.
