At the time of enrollment, our Family Resource Team, in partnership with the parents, assesses family needs and develops an individual action plan for family success. The action plan outlines needed services, parent and child education needs, and outside service providers that will be involved. Once a month after that, our Family Resource Specialists perform a home visit with each family. This meeting encompasses a review of goals, current needs, support in arranging meetings, evaluations and medical appointments, and parenting skills. On occasion, Family Resource Specialists take clients to appointments for critical services, such as legal or medical needs.
CLNkids’ (formerly “Cuidando Los Niños”) mission is to provide high-quality, trauma-informed, strengths-based early childhood education and therapeutic services to address the unique needs of children experiencing homelessness; to provide support services that assist families to become re-housed and more resilient; and to be a community leader and advocate for social change to end child homelessness in our community.
