Family Promise of Albuquerque has a unique and non-traditional solution to the problem of family and child homelessness. Family Promise of Albuquerque is one of over 200 affiliates of a national organization that has been operating for over 25 years with incredible successes of assisting families sustain independence with a community based response. Family Promise of Albuquerque has 3 inter-dependent components that build community and address and solve the problem of family homelessness one family at a time. The 3 components are a 60-90 day shelter, a day center, and a minimum of 18 months of follow-up services. These 3 components help to build a community of support for and with the clients of Family Promise of Albuquerque, with each one strengthening the other.
The mission of Family Promise of Albuquerque(FPA) is to help families who are homeless in the Albuquerque community to achieve sustainable independence. FPA works with family's who are homeless, near homeless or recently exiting homelessness by providing shelter, intensive case management, job search assistance, life skills classes, and supportive services. Our goal is to build a community of support as we empower each family to overcome any barriers they may have to employment or housing.
