Parkinson's Support Groups, Local and statewide education events

Support groups meet monthly in Albuqeurqe, Westside, Santa Fe, Farmington and Taos. Groups focus sharing mutual experiences related to living with Parkinson's. Groups also plan social events.

Speakers present at support meetings or at additional meetings.An annual state-wide conference is held with with national and local speakers addressing the complexities of managing the disease.

Additional events address the needs of caregivers, those newly diagnosed, or those with young onset Parkinson's.

The Coalition maintains a resource list of wellness classes, advocates for access to a Parkinson's knowledgeable workforce of healthcare providers, and increases awareness of Parkinson's throughout New Mexico.
