Green Job Pathways introduces students to careers in the environmental sector and builds skills for job searching and doing the work. In green jobs field many job openings are being created by growth of the sector and people retiring.  We offer the following activities.

  1. Presentation introducing what kinds of environmental jobs exist from natural resources, renewable energy, organic agriculture, environmental epidemiology and more on how to search for and find jobs and internships
  2. Resume / cover letter writing and interview practice
  3. Holding a Green Jobs Fair at the school where representatives from organizations, agencies and companies bring materials and information to represent their work and job opportunities relevant to environmental services, sustainability, renewable energy and more.  River Source recruits, on average, 20 groups concerned with working in natural resource management, sustainable energy, restoration, advocacy, public lands management, and more, to attend.
