Developed using the “Client Choice Model,” Storehouse is set up like a grocery store, which gives its clients the power and control to make their own food choices. Clients take a cart and browse through sections stocked with staples (flour, sugar, eggs, butter, rice), bread, dairy, baby food, cans filled with various food items, snacks, pastries, and more. They only take what they and their households want to cook and eat. Food provided by Roadrunner Food Bank.
The mission of Storehouse New Mexico, a nonprofit, community-based food pantry, is to provide free food to people needing assistance while helping reduce food insecurities in Albuquerque.
