MILITARY FAMILY PROGRAM: This program assists children - or a spouse and children - of members of the active - duty military, National Guard and Reserves. During a period of deployment, if their family planfalls through, the National Home stands VETERAN FAMILY PROGRAM: A veteran who is: a VFW member; in receipt of VA service-connected disability compensation; and in pursuit of VA Vocational Rehabilitation, may participate in this program. Sometimes, the veteran is eligible for Voc Rehab but SINGLE PARENT FAMILY PROGRAM: A single parent and his or her children may participate in this time-limited, goal oriented program that lasts from 1 to 3 ears. All families have unique circumstances and needs, so specific goals are established and pla RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM: This program, licensed by the State of Michigan, allows us to serve children who come to the VFW National Home for Children without a parent or guardian.
