Molly's Mercy Missions Program is the WMR's most successful program that rescues the neediest animals, many who are on euthanasia lists at high-risk shelters in New Mexico and across the Southwest. The missions are typically last-minute emergency rescues that result in the saving of highly adoptable puppies, kittens, dogs and cats. Volunteers drive transport and rescue missions, help process new arrivals and get them ready for adoption.
As New Mexico’s largest no-kill animal shelter, Watermelon Mountain Ranch’s mission is to foster compassion and end animal suffering. While much of our focus rests on bettering the lives of companion animals, we are advocates for the humane treatment of all animals. We provide animal surrender, sheltering, sterilization, vaccinations, and adoption programs for the people and pets in our community and believe all who enter will find love.
