YDI Early Head Start & Pregnant Women Home Visitation Program

Funded through the Head Start program, Home Visitors interact with families to promote confident parenting and healthy child development by supporting the relationship among the family, the home visitation specialist, and the community. YDI EHS and PW Home Visitors visit once a week.

To apply, please call the YDI reception desk, email/call our program contact or submit a request for contact with your preferred availability on our website.

The Youth Development Inc. Home Visitor will:

  • Visit with you in the comfort and convenience of your own home

  • Offer support and listen to the unique needs of your family with an encouraging, non-judgmental attitude

  • Answer questions and share information about prenatal health, newborn care, and child development

  • Help connect you with resources in your community
     

Pregnant applicants may qualify so long as they have:

  • A Proof of Pregnancy (any documentation with a name attached that proves you have completed a test for pregnant women, a positive pregnancy test, or even a letter from a doctor)

  • Proof of Income or Categorical Eligibility (TANF, SSI, SNAP, or Homelessness)

  • 3 emergency contacts (optional)

  • Prenatal & Dental Provider Name and Address (optional)
     

 Applications for children require:

  • A birth certificate (or proof of birth for newborns)

  • Proof or Categorical Eligibility (TANF, SSI, SNAP, or Homelessness)

  • 3 emergency contacts (optional)

  • Medical & Dental Provider Name and Address (optional)
