Ruff-to-Ready dog training program

The Ruff-to-Ready program provides free training to dogs from the Las Cruces municipal shelter who are going to their new adoptive homes. The goal is to keep dogs from being returned to the shelter for behavior problems. We established Ruff to Ready after learning that nearly 50 percent of all dogs surrendered to the shelter are there for behavior issues. We offer two free in-home training sessions.
