The training includes The Community Interpreter International 40 hour course in the medical, social services and education fields and an additional 40 hours of interpreter skills and vocabulary building, face to face interpreting practices in local clinics and professional development that prepares bilingual individuals to work as qualified interpreters.
Valley Community Interpreters is committed to improving and increasing language access at all levels of New Mexican society. We do this by providing cultural competency and interpreter training to bilingual healthcare, community and emergency services, education professionals and bilingual community members.
Valley Community Interpreters is structured using an innovative hybrid business model. Valley Community Interpreters, LLC provides training for medical, social services and education professionals. The Bilingual Community Interpreter Training identifies, assesses and trains bilingual community members, with foundation support, to enter the interpreter profession, and provides mentoring and guidance to pursue work in the telephonic and video remote industry.
