Senior Meals

The Department of Senior Affairs offers seniors, age 60 and older, a free (donation-based) lunch at 21 locations throughout Albuquerque and Bernalillo County. The lunch is served from 11:30AM to 12:30PM and meals must be reserved 24 hours in advance. The monthly menu is available at cabq.gov/seniors, in the center newsletters, and posted at the centers.

In addition to lunch, a low-cost breakfast is also available at the following senior/multigenerational centers: Los Volcanes, Manzano Mesa, North Domingo Baca, North Valley, and Barelas.

Lunch-only meal sites include Raymond G. Sanchez Community Center; Cesar Chavez Community Center; Rio Bravo Senior Meal Site; Los Duranes Community Center; South Valley Multi-Purpose Senior Center; Taylor Ranch Community Center; Thomas Bell Community Center; Paradise Hills Community Center Annex; Ed Romero Terrace Apts.; Encino Garden; Encino Terrace; Embudo Towers; Shalom House; Tijeras Senior Center; La Amistad; and Whispering Pines Senior Center.

The Department of Seniors Affairs also has three senior centers (Bear Canyon, Palo Duro, and Highland) that offer lunch at a reduced price ($3.25 for those 60 and older) as well as ala carte sandwiches, soups, and salads at a low price.
